چکیده

In recent years, cold atmospheric pressure plasma (CAPP) technology has received substantial attention due to its valuable properties including operational simplicity, low running cost, and environmental friendliness. Several different gases (air, nitrogen, helium, argon) techniques (corona discharge, dielectric barrier jet) can be used generate at temperature. Plasma treatment is routinely in materials science modify the surface (e.g., wettability, chemical composition, adhesion) of a wide range polymers, textiles, metals, glasses). Moreover, CAPP seems powerful tool for inactivation various pathogens bacteria, fungi, viruses) food industry packing material decontamination, shelf life extension), agriculture disinfection seeds, fertilizer, water, soil) medicine sterilization medical equipment, implants). also holds great promise direct therapeutic treatments dentistry (tooth bleaching), dermatology (atopic eczema, wound healing) oncology (melanoma, glioblastoma). Overall, an innovative, effective offering broad application potential. However, limitations negative impacts need determined order receive regulatory approval consumer acceptance.

Use of Atmospheric Pressure Cold Plasma for Meat Industry

Novel, effective methods to control and prevent spoilage and contamination by pathogenic microorganisms in meat and meat products are in constant demand. Non-thermal pasteurization is an ideal method for the preservation of meat and meat products because it does not use heat during the pasteurization process. Atmospheric pressure cold plasma (APCP) is a new technology for the non-thermal pasteu...

Applications of cold atmospheric gas plasmas for microbial decontamination in the food industry

The last 20 years have seen the emergence of a novel technology capable of generating gas plasmas in the open air and at temperatures that are only slightly above ambient. These so-called Cold Atmospheric Plasmas (CAP) have characteristics that render them particularly suitable for a variety of applications in the food industry. In this presentation prevalence will be given to microbial deconta...

Convective drying of atmospheric pressure cold plasma pretreatment saffron stigmas: kinetic modeling

In this study, the drying kinetics of saffron stigmas pretreated by atmospheric pressure cold plasma pretreatment (15, 30, 45 and 60 s) followed by hot air drying (60°C and 1.5 m/s) were modeled using 10 conventional mathematical thin layer models. The use of cold plasma pretreatment reduced drying time and enhanced effective moisture diffusivity (Deff). The most accurate models describing beha...

In-package atmospheric pressure cold plasma treatment of cherry tomatoes.

Cold plasma is increasingly under research for decontamination of foods, especially fresh fruits and vegetables. The effect of cold plasma on food quality, however, remains under researched. This study investigates the effects of cold plasma generated within a sealed package from a dielectric barrier discharge on the physical quality parameters and respiration rates of cherry tomatoes. Respirat...

Effect of Cold Atmospheric Plasma on Gene Expression and Methylation of Genes Involved in Colorectal Cancer

Background and purpose: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is ranked as the second most common cancer in men and the third most common cancer in women worldwide. Routine treatments have many side effects and little efficiency. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Cold Atmospheric Plasma (CAP) on epigenetic changes of some genes involved in CRC progression. Materials and methods: Prolif...
